WaveLoop Cursor

Your Mac's pointer, as the WaveLoop gem.

A low-poly pyramid replaces the arrow everywhere. It leans into links and buttons, lies down in gold over text, splits at a window edge, and turns pink when you click.

WaveLoop Cursor runs on a Mac. Send yourself the link and download it there.

What it is

  • The artifact cursor from the WaveLoop apps, running over your whole Mac: every app, every space, full-screen too.
  • The tip of the pyramid is the hotspot. Clicks land exactly where they always did.
  • A menu-bar gem. Show the Mac pointer pauses it; Quit brings the arrow back.
  • Reduce Motion is honoured: no spin, no sparks, poses snap.

The poses

  • Idle — a quiet warm grey, turning slowly, leaving a trail of sparks as it moves.
  • Over a link or a button — it swings into a pointer and comes up gold.
  • Over text — it lies down flat, in gold: a precision tip for the caret.
  • At a window edge — two pyramids facing outward along the edge.
  • Click — whatever pose it is in bulges out, turns pink, and throws sparks.
  • Resize arrows, crosshairs, spinners — the Mac's own pointer steps back in, because those mean something ours can't.

One permission

To know whether the thing under the pointer is a button, it asks macOS through Accessibility. The first launch asks once; grant it in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Accessibility. Without it the gem still runs — it just only knows about links.

Privacy

Local. No accounts, no telemetry. It reads where the pointer is and what kind of control is under it, and nothing leaves your Mac.

Give your Mac the gem.
