Wake ULTRA for Windows 1.3.10
Lucian Labs - https://waveloop.app/wake

A sound-activated field recorder. Set a threshold, arm it, walk away.
It only records when sound crosses the line, and every wake lands in
its own file.

RUN IT
  1. Unzip this folder anywhere you like (Desktop, Documents...).
  2. Double-click wake.exe.
There is no installer, and nothing to uninstall.

wake draws its own window: drag the top strip to move it, drag any edge
to resize, double-click the strip to fill the screen. The three buttons
at the top right minimise, maximise and close it.
The library and INPUTS open on the left; the window grows to hold them.
OPTIONS, the help and the library can each go out into a window of
their own, for a second screen: the small square on their strip.

"WINDOWS PROTECTED YOUR PC"
The first time you open it, Windows SmartScreen may stop it. wake isn't
signed with a paid code-signing certificate yet, so Windows doesn't
recognise the publisher. Click "More info", then "Run anyway". You only
  do this once.

Before you do, you can check this is the file we published: its SHA-256
is on the download page. In PowerShell:
      Get-FileHash .\wake.exe

THE FIRST ONE
The first time wake runs with an empty library it puts one session in
it (first\wake-124425.wav, copied to your recordings), so there is
something to play. Delete it and it stays gone.

WHERE THINGS GO
  Recordings Music\wake\<date>\<time>\
(change it: click WAKE at the top > WRITE FOLDER)
  Settings %APPDATA%\WaveLoop\wake.ini
  Log %USERPROFILE%\.waveloop\wake.log

Want it all in one folder instead (a USB stick, say)? Put an empty file
named wake.ini next to wake.exe and wake keeps its settings there,
with recordings in a "wake" folder beside it.

AUDIO
Click WAKE at the top, or press CTRL + , to open the options: pick your input there.
wake starts on your Windows default microphone. If another app is
holding it, wake opens the next one it can and says so in the status
  line at the bottom.
A WASAPI device with EXCLUSIVE on gives the lowest latency (it takes the
device, so other apps can't play through it while wake is open).
BUFFER shows the latency the device reports.
This build does not include ASIO.

INPUTS
Press A, or click the symbol at the top left: a panel slides out on the
left with every input your interface has. Each one has a level, a mute,
a pan and a link to its neighbour. What they add up to is what wake
hears and records; GAIN comes after it. Keys 1-4 switch between four
setups. It is saved per interface and shared with the other WaveLoop
  apps.

SETTINGS
The view is the left two thirds; the settings are on the right. Three
buttons - THRES, TRIG-EQ, CFG - pick which four faders show. TRIG-EQ
also turns the view into the trigger EQ. Double-click a fader to reset
  it.

OPEN A FILE
Press CTRL + O, click the + in the library's header, or drop an audio
file on wake (wav, mp3, m4a, aac, flac, wma). The view becomes the whole
file and the same line and sliders that drive a recording cut it into
takes, live. MAKE SESSION saves the cuts as a session in the library.
It is a reference: wake remembers where the file is and which stretches
are takes. Nothing is copied and the file is never changed - so leave it
  where it is.

LIBRARY
Press B, or click the three bars at the top left: it slides out on the
left, beside the scope. Drag the bar down its right side for the width
  (double-click the bar: the width it came with). Sessions on top, each with its whole shape;
the picked one's takes under them. Pick a session and the player holds
all of it, takes back to back; pick a take and it holds that take. The
arrow on a row plays it. While its
edge is lit the keys are its own; click wake's side to take them back.
The player at the foot of the library holds what you picked: click
its wave to seek, LEFT / RIGHT skip 5 s, the lane at its right is its
  level.
Right-click a session or a take: play it, open its location in
Explorer, continue the session, or delete it - a take's menu deletes
that take, a session's the whole session. There is no undo. With
bliss.exe beside wake.exe there is also OPEN IN BLISS.

FILES
The library has two tabs, WAKES and FILES. FILES is your disk: your
favorites down the left, the folder beside them, the player
underneath. Land on a file - a click, or UP / DOWN - and it plays,
and the view becomes the stage. Nothing is copied or changed.
Favorites and tags are one list for every ULTRA app: F favorites the
picked folder, 1-9 tag a file, 0 clears, B hides the favorites.
BACKSPACE goes up, SPACE plays and pauses, right-click for a row's
menu, TAB goes back to the wakes. It opens where you left it.

WHEN IT PLAYS
Play something from the library and the view becomes the stage:
two leaves of sky overhead, two blues, drifting and slowly
turning on a pane that leans toward you, cut into thirty-six pieces
and dealt again every four bars; the corridor's walls, angled
out and thinning away before they reach you; red blocks three wide, dealt again every
third beat - you see their tops, they run down out of sight. Now and then, on a beat, a faint light swells
overhead on one side or the other, angled at its wall, and goes.
Sky and floor move to what is playing; the walls stay with what comes
in. The wave steps back by itself when it would hit the top. Wake
works out the tempo and the key of what the player holds and shows
them at the top left of the view. No steady beat: the floor deals
  twice a second.

KEYS
SPACE arm / stop G hold the gate L latch M monitor
B library TAB thres / eq / cfg X cull the last take
  A inputs CTRL + , options F1 how it works T training
? every key (click a row and it presses it)
In the library: SPACE play / pause, LEFT / RIGHT 5 s, TAB sessions /
  takes / files, C continue a
session, O open its folder, DEL delete (the take in the takes, the
session in the sessions), ESC close.
While INPUTS is open: 1-4 scenes, arrows pick and set the level,
  ENTER mutes, ESC closes.

REMOVE IT
Delete this folder. To clear its settings too, delete
%APPDATA%\WaveLoop\wake.ini. Your recordings stay in Music\wake until
  you delete them.
